Coming into the end of summer holidays with the kids, the struggle to juggle is real and it’s time to reset as the kids go back to school.  Do you ask yourself, how am I going to get everything done today, or compare yourself to others thinking, how do they do it all?

The reality of it is that we all have that same amount of decisions to make everyday… how are we going to invest our time, waste our time or spend our time? If you’re a goalgetter determined to be proactive and productive, try these 10 time hacks to achieve more in a day…. They’ve been a game changer for me!

Here are 10 time management hacks that can help improve your productivity:

πŸ’« Prioritize tasks:

Make a list of tasks in order of importance and tackle high-priority tasks first. There’s a great book that helped me make small changes to be more productive with my time. James Clear’s Atomic Habits explains how tiny changes can create remarkable results.

πŸ’« Set specific goals:

Define clear and achievable goals to stay focused and motivated. The SMART targets that are referred to time and again are still proven.

Setting challenging but achievable goals leads to
90% better performance

Few other fun facts about SMART targets:

✨ 20% of people who set goals, 70% do not achieve them

✨ Employees who set goals are 14.2× more likely to be inspired at work

✨80% of people do NOT set goals for themselves

✨ People who submit weekly accountability reports tend to achieve 40% more than those who don’t.

✨98% of company leaders say their company has a goal framework

πŸ’« Break tasks into smaller steps:

Divide larger tasks into smaller, more manageable steps to make them less overwhelming. Climbing a mountain starts with the first step.

πŸ’« Use a calendar or planner:

Keep track of appointments, deadlines, and tasks using a calendar or planner to stay organized. This helps with blocking time on the calendar achieve your goals and ensure you utilise your daily power hour. Create your own accountability with daily and weekly check-ins to maintain cadence in your ACTion Plan.

πŸ’« Minimize distractions:

Identify and eliminate sources of distractions to maintain focus and productivity. This can be as simple as putting your phone and computer on ‘do not disturb’ mode so you can focus on the task at hand.

πŸ’« Take regular breaks:

Schedule short breaks throughout your workday to recharge and prevent burnout. Step outside and take a few deep breaths to clear your mind and reset between each task.

πŸ’« Delegate tasks:

Assign tasks to others when possible to free up time for more important responsibilities. A great way to decide what to delegate is by making a list of what you do as CEO in your business each day.

✨What can be delegated?

✨What can only be performed by you?✨What do you enjoy doing and what do you detest doing?

Make sure that your time is spend doing profit producing activities that boost your business. As a leader your time is valuable, so delegate the daily grind jobs to others whom may even perform them better than you do!

πŸ’« Learn to say no:

Be selective about commitments and avoid overcommitting yourself. This has been one of my BIGGEST lessons over the years. To value my own time and whom I invest it with and how I invest it to support and achieve my goals. This is a BIG factor in Designing your Destiny. It’s easy to say but far more difficult to do.

One thing that’s helped me as I’ve elevated as an entrepreneur is to loose the FOMO ~ fear of missing out mindset and to realise that with laser focus on my goals, the other commitments I used to add to my diary actually were a distraction and also contributed to my stress levels if trying to get everything done.

πŸ’« Batch similar tasks together:

Group similar tasks together and tackle them in batches to increase efficiency. This was another great lesson in life and business. Think of batch cooking for the week to fill you fridge with healthy meals, set aside time to schedule social posts and other tasks within your life and business. This themed time block on my calendar has been a game changer!

πŸ’« Review and adjust:

Regularly review your time management strategies and make adjustments as needed to optimize your productivity. This is a great practise to reset your time blocks each month.
